Spangle is a campaign-driven co-experience marketplace operated by Spangle LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. Spangle connects content creators with brands and brand sponsors to produce co-experiential campaigns. Audience members may participate free of charge.
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a creator or brand. By registering you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to enter into this agreement.
Registration is free for creators and brands. By registering you agree to provide accurate profile information, honor campaign commitments, operate in compliance with all applicable laws, not engage in restricted business activities, and maintain a professional standard of conduct.
Spangle earns a percentage of co-experience campaign revenue. No monthly dues are charged. Audience members are never charged a platform fee. All tips from brands or sponsors are paid directly to creators.
Creators are responsible for publishing accurate campaign information. Brands are responsible for delivering products and fulfilling arrangements as committed. Failure to honor commitments may result in reduced visibility, negative reputation scoring, or account suspension.
Creators retain full ownership of their original content. Brands retain full ownership of their products and brand. By publishing on Spangle you grant Spangle LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote your content solely for operating and promoting the platform. Spangle's Prime Directive elevates creators and brands who practice rare, endangered, or functionally extinct crafts. This designation is self-reported and may be reviewed for accuracy. Misrepresentation constitutes a violation of these terms.
You agree not to use Spangle to engage in fraudulent or deceptive activity, sell counterfeit or illegal goods, harass other participants, violate applicable law, circumvent platform fees, infringe third-party intellectual property rights, or manipulate reviews or reputation scores.
All payments on Spangle are processed securely by Stripe. Spangle LLC never stores your card details.
Registration fees. Spangle no longer charges registration fees. Creators and brands join free of charge. Registration fees collected during Spangle's founding season (a limited window in early 2026) are non-refundable and were honored according to the commitments made at the time of contribution.
Pre-activation requests. If a payment was made during the founding season but the corresponding profile was not activated, you may request a refund by contacting shimmer@spangled.io with your registration email and Stripe receipt. Approved refunds process within 5–10 business days.
Campaign revenue. Spangle earns a percentage of co-experience campaign revenue, disclosed at campaign creation. Revenue from completed campaigns is non-refundable. Revenue disputes must be submitted within 30 days of campaign end.
Product purchases. Products sold through Spangle campaigns are subject to each brand’s individual refund policy. Spangle LLC is not responsible for product fulfillment. Contact the brand directly for product refund requests.
Chargebacks. Filing a chargeback for a correctly processed payment violates these terms and may result in immediate account suspension. Please contact shimmer@spangled.io before initiating a chargeback — we resolve disputes fairly and directly.
Dispute resolution. To request a refund review, email shimmer@spangled.io with your full name, registration email, and description of the issue. We respond within 3 business days.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By completing a payment on Spangle you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Spangle LLC does not store payment card information. Transaction records are maintained by Stripe and accessible via your Stripe receipt email.
Spangle facilitates direct payments between brands and creators for accepted sponsorship offers, mediated by Stripe Connect. The full lifecycle is documented below so all parties understand how money moves and what to expect.
How sponsorships are paid. When a brand accepts a creator’s campaign and offers sponsorship in Sponsor mode, the brand may complete payment through Stripe Checkout. Payment is processed as a Stripe destination charge: the brand pays the gross amount, Spangle retains a 9.5% application fee (9% Spangle platform fee plus 0.5% climate contribution), and the remaining 90.5% routes to the creator’s Stripe Connect account.
Creator onboarding. To receive sponsorship payments, creators must complete identity verification through Stripe Connect Express. This includes providing legal name, date of birth, and a tax identification number (SSN or ITIN for US recipients) as required by US tax law for marketplace recipients earning more than $600/year. Spangle LLC does not see, store, or have access to creators’ SSNs, bank details, or other Stripe-collected verification information — this data is held exclusively by Stripe under their compliance framework.
Release timing. Sponsorship funds are released to the creator’s connected account three (3) days after the campaign’s end date. This grace period gives both parties a brief window to identify and resolve issues before the transfer becomes effectively irreversible. Brands may request earlier release in cases where they wish to acknowledge exceptional creator delivery, by contacting shimmer@spangled.io.
Climate contribution. 0.5% of the gross amount of every sponsorship is recorded in Spangle’s climate ledger. These funds are aggregated and disbursed periodically to environmental causes. Current accrued balance is published on the environmental stewardship page. Spangle holds these funds in good faith pending disbursement and does not earn interest on them.
Refunds. Sponsorship payments may be refunded within thirty (30) days of payment under the following circumstances: (a) the campaign is canceled before completion; (b) the creator demonstrably failed to deliver agreed-upon sponsorship terms; (c) the creator voluntarily refunds the brand. Refunds reverse the original transfer through Stripe’s refund mechanism, which may debit the creator’s connected account if funds have already been released. The Spangle platform fee is reversed on refund (Spangle absorbs the Stripe processing cost). Refund requests should be sent to shimmer@spangled.io with the campaign and brand details. Decisions on contested refunds are made by Spangle in good faith based on documented campaign delivery; both parties will be heard before a determination is made.
Disputes and chargebacks. Brands experiencing issues should contact shimmer@spangled.io before initiating a Stripe chargeback. Filed chargebacks for correctly processed sponsorship payments will be contested by Spangle on the creator’s behalf and may result in account suspension for the filing party.
Tax reporting. Stripe issues 1099-K tax forms to creators receiving more than the IRS-mandated threshold in a calendar year. Tax compliance is the creator’s responsibility; Spangle and Stripe provide the records but do not file on creators’ behalf.
Limits and changes. Sponsorship amounts are limited to a minimum of $1.00 USD per transaction. Spangle reserves the right to adjust the platform fee structure, climate contribution rate, or release timing with reasonable advance notice to active users. Existing accepted sponsorships are processed under the fee structure in effect at the time of acceptance.
Spangle reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or demonstrates a pattern of failing to honor campaign commitments.
Spangle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Spangle LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of third-party content, or the outcome of any campaign collaboration.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spangle LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Washtenaw County, Michigan.
Spangle LLC may update these Terms from time to time. Registered users will be notified of material changes via email.
